ENVIRONMENT

Did you know that chemical binders and grouts, by elevating groundwater alkalinity, can exert detrimental effects on soils? Conventional formulations face growing restrictions due to their inclusion of alumina and various heavy metals.

PARADIGM SHIFT

Many of the binder solutions currently on the market incorporate cement, petroleum products, or other industrial fluids. Frequently, these materials fail to meet environmental regulations and are unsuitable for use in regions with groundwater or in coastal and riverine areas. Contractors are often left with limited stabilization options due to the potential for long-lasting impacts on the pH of natural reserves or the presence of toxic effects and plastic micro-pollution.

Medusoil minerals mimic calcite, a naturally abundant element in geology, through the use of minimally invasive organic elements that do not disrupt the system's balance.

Ecologically more respectful at every stage

  • By emulating a natural process, the materials used in our bio-cement emit significantly less CO2 compared to cement grout.

  • On-site mixing enables us to save nearly all emissions associated with transportation.

  • Our binder is applied through non-invasive drilling and injected at low pressure, greatly reducing the ecological impact of the application.

  • With the recycling of all by-products as ammonia-rich liquids, we eliminate the need for waste management.

CENtr standard for environmental protection

We have additionally obtained certification in accordance with the CEN/TR 17105:2017 standard, validated by Eurofins laboratory. This standard, which pertains to all construction products and evaluates their environmental impact, is becoming an increasingly essential requirement for green construction in Europe. It is paving the way for a sustainable transformation in geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects.
